Closest to the Button Contest
We would like to thank everyone that participated in the Closest to the Button Contest. We had a great response from clubs across the province. It's at this time that we would like to announce the winner of the week pass. Gary Mees of the Bayview Golf and Country Club is the winner of the week pass to the Tankard. Attention all Curling Clubs
One of your curling members has the chance to win a full week pass for two, valued at $320, to the 2012 The Dominion Tankard Ontario Men’s Curling Championship!
All you need to do is organize a Closest to the Button Contest and send the details of your winner to the Stratford Country Club. You then wait to see how your winner's measurement fairs against all the other clubs. The individual with the closest measurement wins a full week pass for two and all of the entrants win a one-day weekday pass for two.
The Details:
- You organize the event in any way that works best for your Club - perhaps as part of planned jitney or maybe the focal point for a special club holiday party. E-mail or mail the Registration Form to Stratford Country Club so we can post your entry on this site. And don’t forget to check back to check out your competition.
- Regardless of the format, we do ask that you refer to the attached contest guidelines for the actual draw to the button contest.
- When you have your winner, simply mail or e-mail us a photo of the winner and the winning rock placement along with the actual measurement. We will post the results on this website page. As well, we will highlight Club winners in the Tankard newsletter.
- You will then wait and see if your Club winner’s measurement tops all of the other Club entries.
- Once we have received all of the Club winners, we will determine who is the “closest to the button”. Should there be a tie, we will draw a winner form the tied entries from a hat. The winner will be announced on January 21, 2012.
